The doctors and staff of Child Health Associates understand your time is valuable, and are committed to keeping your wait time reasonable. We appreciate your patience in understanding that a certain amount of wait time is inevitable, in a busy pediatric office. We make every effort to estimate the length of time each type of visit takes, and schedule accordingly. If a child is extremely ill, (having trouble breathing as one example), that child may have to be seen ahead of others. If the doctor is in a patient room, and a very personal, or complicated problem is discovered, extra time will unexpectedly need to be taken. The average amount of time you can expect to wait from signing in at the front desk to the doctor arriving in your room averages 30 minutes. At the end of the morning and end of the afternoon shifts, wait times can be longer. Often the wait time is less. Please understand that our doctors are paying attention to your wait time. In an effort to be considerate of other waiting families, please be on time for your appointment, be prepared to explain your child's illness or problems in an accurate and organized manner, and please try not to ask our doctors to "take a peek" at a sibling, where time has not been allowed. Once your doctor is in your room, your child is the priority, we will not rush the visit, and will examine your child in a caring and thorough manner.
