Children are not just small adults. Many changes occur as we pass from birth, through childhood and into adulthood. Our board certified Pediatricians are experts at assessing the growth and development of your child. They will take the time needed to address any of your concerns.
Appointments should be scheduled early as our books are open, which is usually 3-4 months in advance. It is advisable to make your next appointment when checking out of the office.
We highly recommend children receive the standard childhood vaccines. The science behind vaccines is clear. They are safe and effective. For more information, please review our Vaccine Policy. We encourage your to review the following Vaccine Information Sheets (VIS) prior to your office visits.
All children three and older require a yearly physical. We will not provide prescription refills or treat ongoing medical conditions without a yearly visit. Schools, camps and sports programs will require medical forms for participation. We can not complete these forms unless a physical has been completed in the preceding 12 months.
The newborn period is one of the most amazing periods in a child's life, but it can also be one of the most stressful. We are here to answer your new parent questions, no matter how silly. We'll let you know if you come up with one we haven't heard before.
At Child Health Associates, we require parents to create an account in our Patient Portal called Follow my Health. It is a great way for families to communicate with our office, receive reminders about upcoming appointments and access important medical information such as your child's medical history, medications, allergies, immunization records and lab results.
