WELL CHILD CARE
From newborn care in the hospital to helping families anticipate the needs of their adolescent, the doctors of Child Health Associates are extensively trained and experienced over many years to be there for you as a parent. Our doctors will guide your child's emotional and physical health needs, by performing thorough and complete physical examinations, and counseling them toward healthy lifestyles, by offering advice to prevent illness and injury.
We follow the guidelines and national protocols of the American Academy of Pediatrics in providing scheduled preventive care visits. In addition to physical examinations, we perform periodic blood testing for anemia, infant blood lead, and adolescent blood lipid profiles. We perform hearing and vision testing, and if necessary pulmonary function testing.
VACCINE ADMINISTRATION
Our doctors have seen the dramatic benefits of our childhood disease prevention vaccination program, right in our own offices. We will take the time to educate you as a parent, and respect your concerns, while assuring that your child has all the vaccine protection he or she deserves. We take the vaccine program seriously, and study, in an ongoing basis, disease trends in the U.S., and current research on the use of vaccines, conveying this information to you. SICK CARE
The list of symptoms and diseases we manage are too long to fully enumerate. But know that we have the training and experience to help manage everything from infectious diseases, to care of the young athlete. We pride ourselves in recent advances in the ongoing management of our asthma patients. We diagnose and treat unusual skin rashes, acne and wart care. We participate in the care of children with heart disease, kidney disease, liver and GI diseases and cancer. We take over the care of premature infants once they leave the hospital. We help coordinate the evaluation and management of children with emotional difficulties, learning disabilities, and attention deficit disorder. We have Quick-Sick Visits every weekday morning for simple illnesses. When problems arise after hours, we always recommend Pediatric After Hours for your urgent care needs. REFERRAL SERVICES
Due to our close and academic relationships with the best pediatric sub-specialists at William Beaumont Hospital, Children's Hospital of Michigan and the University of Michigan Mott Children's hospital, we can refer your child to just the right specialists when their consultations are needed.
The doctors of Child Health Associates understand that children are not simply small adults. They often present different symptoms and need different prescriptions, and treatments than adults. Our training, experience and collaboration in care is designed to help assure that we recognize something more serious when we see it, and know when to reassure a parent and child when it is not.
