Most concerns can wait the night and be addressed by the office the following day. Doctors and nurses often are not able to provide a certain diagnosis or treatment plan based on a telephone conversation. Whenever possible, your child should be evaluated in our office by one of our pediatricians. After-hours calls should be limited to acute, significant medical concerns that require physician judgment. The on call doctor will not be able to refill prescriptions, look up lab results or schedule appointments. For medication dosing, please see FAQ section of our website.
- When our office is closed, an on-call doctor is available by telephone for urgent medical concerns
- After 10:00 pm, calls will be answered by our nurse triage service
- In the event of hospitalization, the on-call doctor will be available for consultation by the hospital staff
